New temporary venues for Grimsby library groups

With the temporary closure of Grimsby library for maintenance, various groups that regularly meet there are in alternative locations for the duration.

Grimsby Library Lunchtime Readers' Group will be meeting at Cleethorpes Library. Same time, 12.30pm - 1.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month. The first meeting will be on Wednesday 2 October and they will be discussing "The Report" by Jessica Francis Kane.

Grimsby Library Evening Readers' Group will be meeting at Scartho Library, at the slightly later time of 5.45pm - 6.45pm. They meet on the third Tuesday of each month, so their first meeting there will be on Tuesday 15 October. They will be discussing "Three men in a boat" by Jerome K Jerome.

The Listening Book Group will be meeting in the cafe at the Fishing Heritage Centre. They meet on the last Wednesday of the month, 2pm - 3pm. Their first meeting is on 30 October, and they will be discussing "The girl you left behind" by Jojo Moyes. (This group listens to talking books rather than reading the printed version, and so is particularly suited to visually impaired readers). They will not be meeting in December.

If you want to join a library readers' group and would like to read the book before the meeting, please contact Sandy on (01472) 323620 or email sandra.rawlings@nelincs.gov.uk to arrange for the book to be sent to a library convenient for you.

The Meditation and Relaxation sessions every Tuesday lunchtime will be held at Waltham Library, at the slightly later time of 1pm - 2pm. New members are always welcome at all of these meetings. For the meditation sessions space is limited, so please contact Waltham Library on 323656 to book a place.
