Following public consultation the Statement of Community Involvement was formally adopted by the Council on 11 February 2013.
The Statement of Community Involvement sets out how the Council proposes to involve the community and others in the preparation, alteration and review of the development plan for North East Lincolnshire.
The Statement of Community Involvement, February 2013 aims to encourage those with an interest in North East Lincolnshire to come together in the spirit of co-operation with others, to prepare a mutually agreed New Local Plan for the Borough. By promoting an open and transparent process where communities and stakeholders are encouraged to be involved in, and have greater ownership of, the decisions being made.
Whilst reference to specific groups has been removed from the SCI 2013 the Council will make every reasonable effort to maintain an up to date list of current groups with whom it will engage. As part of this, a local plan database is maintained and any individual, group, organisation or business can request inclusion on this database at any time. To be included on the database you can either:
- Register via the Consultation Portal (link provided under Useful websites);
- Send an email to the Spatial Planning Team with your contact details, or;
- Write to the Spatial Planning Team.
