A series of Issues Papers are being prepared to support the progression of a new Local Plan for North East Lincolnshire.

The papers cover a range of subjects, including:

  • Biodiversity and Geodiversity
  • Climate Change
  • Delivery and Infrastructure
  • Design and Heritage
  • Economy
  • Green Infrastructure
  • Gypsies and Travellers
  • Healthy communities
  • Housing
  • Minerals
  • Strategic context and Spatial approach
  • Town and Local Centres and
  • Waste

Each paper summaries the legislation and policy guidance and evidence we have gathered relating to the subject area. They go on to identify the key issues and challenges arising from that evidence, which will lead to the identification and appraisal of options in the new Local Plan. The papers will be made available here under the related content area of this page.

Next steps

In the Autumn we will also be publishing details of what options we think there are to address the key issues, identified in the Issues Papers, through the new Local Plan. Your input is vital to developing a plan which is owned by local communities, and reflects their aspirations for the area. We will be inviting you to get involved in shaping the options further.

We will be publishing more details on how you can do that nearer the time, but if you have any suggestions or requests in the meantime, please let us know by emailing us at:
